This is the overview page on finance. More specifically, money management. Money undoubtedly plays a part in our fitness, like it does in so many other areas of our lives. But the relationship between our faith and finance is just the about the numbers of a spreadsheet. Our finances, like our fitness, are a stewardship issue and we’d be remiss not to include them in our journey.

Why Is Finance On Here?

Your finances have a direct impact on your abilities and opportunities to manage and improve your fitness. For example, if money is really tight and a gym membership is out of the question, this will determine options. Or if feeding a family healthy food is not fitting into the family budget, adjustments have to be made somewhere. The healthier you are, typically, the lower the burden on your finances

Game Plan

We are called to be good stewards of what ultimately all belongs to the Lord. This includes how we handle our money. However, this requires a balance. We do not want to prioritize one area of stewardship at the expense of another. Our goal is maximize our ability to bring God glory in every area of our lives. Seeking wisdom on how to balance these areas is paramount. This includes being intentional to determine good vs. best, considering return on investment, and building principles of sound money management.

Just like fitness, finance is a stewardship issue, stewardship is a heart issue, and God cares about all matters of the heart. So while are aspiring to bring God glory with our fitness, it would be unwise to max out credit cards or take out loans to fund your fitness. On the flip side, it would be prudent to add a fitness line item to your budget so as to be prepared and intentional. With the articles on finance, you can learn ways to get the most bang for God’s buck, which results in a healthier body and bank account.
